Mayo Fianna Fail Senator Lisa Chambers takes over as the Leader of the Seanad, as the house reconvenes for the first time in 2023, tomorrow (Tues, 24th).
Senator Chambers was formally appointed to the position by Leo Varadkar when he took over the position of Taoiseach last month.
It has been a busy number of weeks for the Mayo Senator as over Christmas she got engaged to Mayo Fine Gael councillor Jarlath Munnelly.
