Mayo Fine Gael deputy, former Minister, Michael Ring has come to the defence of Minister Pascal Donohoe ahead of his second statement to the Dail tomorrow concerning controversy over the Minister's  2016 election expenses.

Minister Donohoe will take questions from opposition TDs following the statement.

Deputy Ring claims that the campaign by Sinn Féin to target Minister Donohoe is nothing more than a cynical attempt to tarnish the reputation of a committed public servant.
