Fine Gael has taken a four-point hit in support just weeks after Leo Varadkar returned as Taoiseach.

The party - fresh from controversy over the resignation of junior Minister Damien English over a property declaration - is down to 19 per cent support in the latest 'Behaviour and Attitudes' poll for the Sunday Times.

Fianna Fail have gained - up 4 points to 25 percent - while Sinn Fein remains the most popular party, with support unchanged at 34 per cent.
