Keem Bay on Achill Island has been named as Ireland’s Best Beach.
The Irish Independent has compiled the top beaches in the country – as voted by readers.
Curracloe in Co Wexford was second, followed by Inch in Kerry and Connemara beach Dog’s Bay.
Enniscrone beach in Sligo came in eighth place.
Chris McCarthy is the manager of Achill tourism.
