Gardaí, civil defence personell and the coastguard together with a number of rescue teams and local volunteers are to resume an extensive search operation in Crossmolina this morning, after a man was reported as missing from the area.
68-year-old Seamus Cawley is missing from his home in Crossmolina since Monday morning. He was last seen at about 10am on Monday morning when he left his home. He was driving a silver Volkswagen Golf with partial registration of 08-MO.
Gardaí and Seamus’ family are concerned for his welfare and an extensive search has been underway for days now in the Crossmolina area.
The search is concentrated again today near the Knockadine Bridge in Crossmolina and is stretching out to Lough Conn.
Gardaí are appealing to the public to help in the search.
