A status yellow ice warning has been issued for the entire country, and will come into effect at 4 o 'clock this afternoon.
The national alert from Met Eireann says there will be hazardous conditions - with some freezing fog in spots and icy stretches.
The warning will run until noon tomorrow while A weather advisory warning of cold conditions will also run until tomorrow.
