“Any local road in the county that is being serviced by a public bus route be added to the Council winter gritter plan.”
That’s the opinion of Sligo Leitrim Councillor Marie Casserly.
Sligo COCO’s seven Winter Maintenance routes grit all National roads, Regional roads, and some strategic Local roads in the county.
The call comes amidst a Status Yellow Low Temperature and Ice Warning issued by Met Éireann.
