Sligo County Council are seeking applications for their Built Heritage Investment Scheme 2023, and also for the Historic Structures Fund 2023.

The Built Heritage Investment Scheme comes from a national allocation of €4.5 million, and grants of between €2,500 and €15,000 will be awarded.

Applicants will be required to provide a minimum of 50% of the total cost.

A pilot funding stream of routine maintenance and minor repairs works will also apply with the maximum award for these projects being €2,500.

The Historic Structures Fund also comes from a national funding of €4.5 million.

Stream 1 Smaller Capital works and Historic Shop fronts sub streams will allow €15,000 -€50,000 funding, and a maximum of 80% of eligible costs.

Stream 2 Community Benefit funding will allow between €50,000 and €200,000, which can be phased over 2 years, with a maximum of 50% of eligible costs.

Funding for Projects in Partnership will be determined on a case by case basis with 50% of the project costs as a maximum grant.

Vernacular Structure Schemes will be allowed between €5,000 and €10,000 funding with a maximum of 80% eligibility on grant costs.

Closing date for applications is 4:00PM on Tuesday January 31.
