Excitement is building ahead of Tooreen's All-Ireland Intermediate Hurling final against Monaleen of Limerick.

Tooreen have already made history within the county, being the first Mayo hurling club team to reach an All-Ireland final.

That game takes place tomorrow (Sat) at 7 o'clock in Croke park.

Earlier this week, our news reporter Alannah Nolan visited Tooreen National School and spoke to staff and students about their hopes for Saturday.

She began by speaking to acting principal, Joe Dillon, who says for such a small village of Tooreen there is an amazing atmosphere amongst the people in the area...

 

Alannah also spoke to a number of students at the school. We will hear from 3 students, namely Conor Healy, Erin Casey and Niamh Delaney, and they told Midwest Radio more about their connections with the club and how they think the game will turn out...
