This Christmas was a record year for the sale of books nationally.
The book as a Christmas present appears to have been more popular than ever and readers are enjoying a range of fiction and non-fiction publications.
Childrens Books have also sold well.
The Castle Book Shop, a relatively new store opened on Castlebar’s Main Street was just one of the busy book stores locally. It also offers customers the luxury of a coffee shop on the second floor and in addition sells knitting wool.
