The Government are being asked not to undermine the hospitality sector and to keep the VAT rate at 9 after February 2023.
Sligo - Leitrim Independent TD Marian Harkin has detailed how the sector is struggling with recruitment difficulties, energy costs, and a decline in the amount of bookings.
The Government introduced a VAT rate to ease the challenges of Covid, but this will go back to 13.5% from next March.
