Mayo County Council took home two awards from the Chambers Ireland Excellence in Local Government Awards last night.
They won the Supporting Tourism Award for the Clew Bay Bike Trail, as well as the Climate Change Award for the Mayo Decarbonising Communities Network.
Mayo County Council were also nominated in the Health and Wellbeing Category for the Activator Walking with Poles/ Fitstick Trail Project.
In what was the 19th year of the awards, a total of 23 Local Authorities were shortlisted over 15 categories.
Clare County Council took home the overall award in being crowned Local Authority of the Year for 2022.
