Many people who have booked accommodation for weddings and events in hotels across the region in recent months are now being told there are no rooms for them to avail of.
That's according to councillor John O'Hara, who says he has had many people getting in contact with him following the lack of rooms for people to stay in in hotels.
This comes as many hotels in the region have closed to the general public or limited their availability in order to accommodate both asylum seekers and Ukrainian refugees arriving into Ireland.
In recent days, Government have said that Ireland will continue to accept refugees arriving into Ireland despite the lack of accommodation available for them.
Councillor O'Hara says hotels should be able to honour their current bookings and have an allocation of rooms available for different functions that were booked on their premises before the current crisis occurred...
