Gardai in Galway are appealing for witnesses after a hit and run road collision in the early hours of yesterday (Monday) morning.
The incident happened on Sandy Road, in Galway city between 1am and 1.30am yesterday.
A young woman was walking on the footpath on Sandy Road in the direction of Headford Road, and was struck from behind by a vehicle that failed to remain at the scene and fled.
Gardai are now appealing for witnesses or anyone with information relating to the vehicle, to come forward.
Anyone who was in the area between 1am and 1.30am yesterday morning, the 19th Sept, with dash cam footage is asked to make it available to the gardai..
