Three Mayo siblings have taken some big steps in raising money for a charity which was a big support to their family in the last few months.

Last June, Sinead Walsh, age 13, of Hollymount was diagnosed with leukaemia. After her diagnosis Sinead’s family, parents Brendan & Margaret and siblings, Joseph Ciara & Sarah made sure she had all the love and support she needed through this difficult period.

Since her initial diagnosis Sinead has undergone chemotherapy & immunotherapy which has significantly improved her condition and the signs for the future are looking positive again.

To show their appreciation Joseph, Ciara and Sarah Walsh are taking the brave action of shaving or dying their hair in aid of The Irish Cancer Society

As of Monday they have raised over 6000 euro
