Parents of 24 school-going students in North Mayo have resorted to hiring a private bus to bring their children to school.
This comes as the school bus situation worsens with still no clarity for families left in the dark.
Students in the Crossmolina area have been told their bus stop for the school year is 4km away from their homes meaning they would need to be dropped and picked from the bus by car and just isn't accessible.
Local councillor Seamus Weir is now calling on the CIE to make a presentation to Mayo County Council and outline why this scenario is not yet resolved.
