A Mayo TD has heralded the official opening of Ballycastle gaa clubhouse this weekend as important for young people in rural areas.

On Sunday, Ballycastle GAA club will host the Colm Kenny National School Tournament and preform the official opening of their newly constructed clubhouse.

Action gets underway at 1 o'clock with the club saying it will be a historic day for both the club and the parish.

Later that evening, Deputy Michael Ring will officially open the clubhouse at 5 o'clock and Fr. John Loftus, P.P., will give a blessing.
