Submissions lodged on environmental issues will now inevitably delay the long awaited flood relief scheme in Crossmolina.
That’s the view of local Fianna Fail councillor Michael Loftus.
The councillor says three objections on environmental grounds were lodged at the start of this month to the Flood Relief Scheme.
As a result, despite the urgency in getting the works underway, the planning process now demands that they are investigated and will inevitably delay construction getting underway.
