Crews are on site in Moygownagh today repairing a burst watermain.
Irish Water and Mayo County Council are working to restore the water to the Lisglennon and Moygownagh district metering areas as quickly as possible.
Repairs are expected to be complete by 4pm. Typically, it takes two to three hours following repairs for normal supply to restore to all customers affected by an unplanned outage.
Speaking about the repair works Ger Greally of Irish Water says the repairs in the Moygownagh area are being conducted as quickly as possible to minimise disruption to the community and restore water for all customers.
