The Irish Blood Transfusion service are running a donation clinic in the Park Hotel Kiltimagh today to mark World Blood Donor Day.
The event takes place every year on the 14th of June and helps raise awareness of the need for blood donations and to thank donors for their contributions throughout the year.
This year's slogan is ''donating blood is an act of solidarity. Join the effort and save lives'' which aims to draw attention to the roles that voluntary blood donations play in saving lives and enhancing solidarity within communities.
