The INMO has said the response from the Health Services Executive and the Health and Safety Authority regarding hospital overcrowding has been extremely lacking.
The statement comes as Sligo University Hospital has the second highest figures of patients waiting on trolleys in the country, with 51 patients waiting on trolleys for admission.
There's 26 patients on trolleys at University Hospital Galway and 14 at Mayo University Hospital.
While at Portiuncula Hospital there are 4 patients waiting on trolleys.
Nationally, there are 457 patients waiting on trolleys with University Hospital Limerick having 101 patients on trolleys, the highest figures in the country.
