Sinn Fein has reached a record high in the polls.

The party now heads both the 'state of the parties' and the leaders' popularity ratings.

Sinn Fein has matched its best result in the lifetime of the current government - rising one point to 37 percent.... with party leader Mary Lou McDonald at 52 percent in the leaders' satisfaction ratings.

The Sunday Times Behaviour and Attitudes poll out today shows Sinn Fein 14 points clear of Fine Gael and 15 points clear of Fianna Fail.

Taoiseach Micheál Martin, who was the most popular party leader in March, April and May - drops back three points to 50 percent.
