There is major traffic disruption at present in Galway city centre - the road between Eyre Square and Bohermore at Prospect Hill is closed to traffic due to a collision.
A male pedestrian, aged in his 70s, was brought to University Hospital Galway following a collision which involved an articulated truck.
Gardai and emergency services attended the scene
Gardai say diversions are in place and a forensic collision investigation is due to take place.
