Fahy National School has been granted an extension under the Additional Accommodation Scheme from the Department of Education and Skills.

That’s according to Mayo Fine Gael deputy Michael Ring.

The school has been approved for a 80m2 Mainstream classroom, a 115m2 SET Room, a SEN Base, 2 wc's and an UAWC under the Additional Accommodation Scheme.

Deputy Ring says the extension is very welcome news for the pupils and staff of Fahy National School and will greatly enhance capacity and facilities.
