The need for additional parking facilities in Westport town has again been highlighted by local Fine Gael councillor Peter Flynn.
Councillor Flynn has asked council officials to provide elected councillors with a feasibility study on how the parking needs of the busy town and its environs can be addressed.
He says, in light of the vast number of tourists to the town, better parking is essential.
In addition he says people working in Westport need to have an alternative to street parking.
