Many students are in danger of missing out on J1 visas this Summer, due to extended delays in processing the applications.

That's according to Mayo FG Deputy Alan Dillon, who's raised the matter with the Minister for Foreign Affairs.

Since the J1 programme started over 50 years ago, some 150,000 students have travelled to the United States for work, but delays in securing appointments with the US Embassy here are now causing concern for many students across the country.
