Gardai in Castlebar are advising supporters travelling to Hastings Insurance McHale Park in Castlebar this Sunday to give themselves plenty of time for their journey.
Mayo face Galway in the opening round of the Championship this Sunday and Castlebar gardai are advising that with up to 30,000 people expected to attend the game, that traffic in and out of the county town is likely to be slow.
On the N5 Dublin side of Castlebar there are major roadworks ongoing and also at Breaffy coming in on the N60, from Claremorris.
Fans are urged to give themselves plenty of time, use local car parks and not to leave valuables visible in their vehicles.
