Funeral arrangements have been confirmed for the young Galway camogie player, who died earlier this week after sustaining a head injury during a match.

20-year old Kate Moran from Monivea died following the injury sustained in an accidental  collision during a club match between Athenry and Ardrahan.

Kate was a member of Athenry Camogie Club and she represented Galway Camogie at an underage level, winning two Under 16 All-Ireland titles.

She is survived by her parents Cathal and Mary Moran, brother Thady and sisters Leah and Saoirse.

Kate's remains will repose at her home in Monivea this evening from 4 to 8pm.

Funeral Mass on Friday at 1 o'clock in the Church of the Sacred Heart, Ryehill, Monivea with burial afterwards in Templemoyle Cemetery, Newcastle, Athenry.
