There are 48 patients waiting on trolleys for admission to Galway University Hospital today. That’s according to the latest figures from the INMO.
That’s the third highest number of patients on trolleys nationally.
Across the region, patients presenting at hospital emergency department's are experiencing long waits.
There are 30 patients waiting for admission to Sligo University Hospital today, 23 patients on trolleys at Mayo University Hospital, and 9 on trolleys at Portiuncula University Hospital.
Nationally there 532 patients waiting for admission to hospitals today, with the highest number again today at University Hospital Limerick, with 70 patients waiting for a bed there.
