Minister of State with responsibility for the Office of Public Works, Patrick O’Donovan, has announced the approval of applications under the Office of Public Works’ Minor Flood Mitigation Works and Coastal Protection Scheme to Galway, Leitrim and Sligo County Councils
Galway County Council has been allocated €12,600 for the installation of a drain to divert existing drains to the river at Clonkeenkerill, Colmanstown, Ballinasloe.
Leitrim County Council secured €12,122 for additional funding to carry out a feasibility study on the Bonet River, Dromahair.
Sligo County Council has been granted €5,836 for additional funding to carry out a Coastal Erosion and Flood Risk Management Study at Strandhill and Easkey Coast Road.
