Two young local entrepreneurs have won a prestigious prize worth €10,000, which has also resulted in their clothing range being sold in Arnotts.
20-year old Peter Timlin from Ballina and his 21-year old business partner Richard Grimes from Enniscrone are behind "Pure Clothing" - a sustainable fashion brand which has scooped the inaugural Pitch 21 at Arnotts - this is a new business initiative to support and mentor designers, creators and entrepreneurs.
The win means their clothing range - consisting mainly of hoodies, sweatshirts and T-shirts - is being sold in Arnotts on Henry Street in Dublin and on the Arnotts website, as well as through the company's own website.
The two lads are former students of St Muredech's College in Ballina and are both currently attending university - Peter is studying marketing and innovation at DCU while Richard is a student of aeronautical engineering in Limerick.
Peter Timlin told Midwest News today that they set up the Pure Clothing brand during the first Covid-19 lockdown...
