Irish rock band Kodaline have postponed this Sunday night's concert at the TF Royal Theatre in Castlebar, due to the latest Covid-19 restrictions on indoor concerts.
New restrictions which come into effect today will see the capacity at indoor events limited to 50%, nightclubs must close, pubs and restaurants are only allowed to seat up to 6 people per table, with table service only, while for the first time, Covid certs will now be needed to access hotel bars & restaurants, leisure centres and gyms.
Kodaline were originally due to play in Castlebar last weekend, but postponed the concert when two of their touring party tested positive for Covid-19.
The gig will now be rescheduled for sometime in the New Year.
This is one of a number of concerts planned for the Castlebar venue that are currently being rescheduled.
Pat Jennings of the TF Royal Theatre in Castlebar has been telling Midwest News that the new 50% limit on indoor gigs will have a serious impact over the festive season....
