Mayo County Council have committed to carrying out a village Enhancement Scheme in the village of Cross.
That's according to Fianna Fail Councillor Damien Ryan, who says council management and architects will proceed with the project once a similar one is completed in the Neale.
This Enhancement and Landscape plan would see significant works in the South Mayo village for the first time in several years.
A plan will be prepared for the area once works are completed in the Neale, then an application for funding will be submitted.
Cllr. Damien Ryan told Midwest News that this scheme will improve the overall footprint for the village in the future.
