There are fears that a Cabinet memo on the defective blocks redress scheme could be pushed back until as late as December.
That’s according to the spokesperson for the North Mayo Pyrite Group Barbara Clinton, who has questioned why Government haven’t had enough time to finalise their plans.
It had been expected that a new redress scheme for people whose homes are damaged by mica and pyrite would be presented to the Cabinet today, but this was delayed yet again.
The Department of Housing has confirmed that currently no date has been set to present it.
