Three local electoral areas in Mayo have a 14-day incidence rate of Covid-19 in excess of the national average.
Westport has the highest rate of infection in the county at 1,393 per 100,000 people, accounting for 256 cases; well above the national average of 924 per 100,000 as of Monday last.
Ballina had the second highest rate of the virus in the county at 952 per 100,000 representing 239 cases and the next highest was Castlebar at 940 per 100,000, equating 282 cases of the disease.
The other three LEAs in the county had rates of the virus below the national average.
It stood at 850 per 100,000 in Swinford 147 cases, 678 per 100,000 in Claremorris 184 cases and 198 per 100,000 in Belmullet resulting in 25 infections.
Belmullet has the lowest incidence rate of the virus nationwide once again.
