Two-thirds of Irish consumers bought goods or services locally, as a result of the Look for Local campaign than ran throughout the Summer.
A new survey also shows that 75% of adults are now more inclined to shop for local businesses online.
The Look for Local campaign was launched by Local Enterprise Offices in Mayo and throughout the country during the Covid-19 lockdown, encouraging consumers to look for local when buying products or services in person or online.
John Magee, Head of Enterprise at Mayo County Council says every euro spent in Mayo has a knock-on effect in the county.
