Irish Water is working with Galway City Council to carry out urgent repairs to a burst watermain at the NUIG campus.

Crews are working to repair the burst watermain supplying the Clifton Hill and Tonabrucky reservoirs as quickly and as safely as possible.

Customers in the west of the city including University Road, Lower Salthill, Salthill, Knocknacarra, Barna, Moycullen and surrounding areas will experience disruption to their supply including low water pressure and water outages this evening and tomorrow morning, while the repairs are underway.

Dedicated water service crews have mobilised and repairs are expected to be completed in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Irish Water is encouraging customers to conserve water while these essential works are underway.
