The Irish National Teachers Organisation has urged caution in plans to relax Covid 19 close contact restrictions on children.

At present children who are deemed close contacts of a confirmed case in school have to stay out of school for ten to fourteen days.

Yesterday NPHET said that restriction, which currently has over 10,000 out of class, could be eased at the end of this month.

But John Boyle, General Secretary of the INTO, says it's too early.
