Nearly half of all college students are struggling to afford living expenses, while 88% worry about money.
They're among the findings of a new survey carried out by the Irish League of Credit Unions and Spunout - Ireland's youth information website.
Finding and keeping a job, travel expenses, paying rent, and the cost of college fees and books were among their biggest financial concerns.
7 in ten students plan to work part-time, to cover third level expenses, while 40% rely on the student grant and 59% on support from parents.
With 60% of students saying they would like to improve their money management and budgeting skills, the Credit Union and Spunout have launched the "Money on Your Mind" series, providing financial information and support for young people.
The campaign goes live today (Tuesday) and also includes real-life stories from 18-24 year olds about their financial struggles and successes.
