Latest figures show it has dropped to just under 451 cases per 100,000 people.
Seven days earlier, it was almost 525.

Sligo University Hospital has the third highest amount of covid-positive patients nationally at 27- up one and is closely followed in fourth place by Galway University Hospital at 26.
They are followed in this region by Mayo University Hospital with 10- up one and the Portiuncula University Hospital with 2.
59 patients with the virus are in intensive care across the country.
Of those, 4 are in Galway, 3 are in Mayo and 1 is in Sligo University Hospital.
