Seven projects in Mayo are set to receive €289,000 under the Clár Programme.
The Clar funding announced this morning will support safety measures and recreational areas for schools and communities.
The projects will provide and improve safety infrastructure such as footpaths, public lighting, traffic calming measures and car parking facilities.
Among those to benefit from the funding are Cong NS, Currabaggan NS, Parke/Keelogues/Crimlin GAA Pitch and Parke National School, Keel Community Playground, Belcarra Community Council, Ballycastle Community Hall and Claremorris Chamber of Commerce.
