247 admitted patients are waiting for beds at Irish Hospitals today, according to the latest INMO Trolley Watch figures.

222 patients are waiting in the emergency department, while 25 are in wards elsewhere in the hospital.

University Hospital Galway has the joint fourth highest amount of patients awaiting a bed at 22.

It is followed in this region by Sligo University Hospital with 17, Mayo University Hospital with 3, and the Portiuncula University Hospital in Ballinasloe with 1 patient waiting for a bed.
