In Mayo, the average property price was €159,000 for the twelve month period to June of this year.
That’s according to the latest GeoView Residential Buildings Report published today by GeoDirectory and EY Economic Advisory.
The average residential property price in Ireland across this time period was €307,000. The highest average price was in Dublin (€471,000), while Longford at (€129,000) had the lowest average price in the country.
449 new residential addresses in Mayo were added to GeoDirectory’s nationwide database in that twelve month period.
The vacancy rate in Mayo in June 2021 was 12%, and that is higher than the national average of 4.5%.
There were more than 92,000 vacant residential properties in the state in June 2021.
Dublin, at 2%, had the lowest vacancy rate in the country. In contrast, Leitrim registered the highest vacancy rate at 15%, followed by Roscommon and Mayo both at 12%.
