The country's 14-day incidence rate of Covid-19 cases is now at it's highest point since the end of February.
It now stands at 231 cases per 100,000 people, while the five-day moving average of cases has increased by more than 98 percent in a week.
Last night 1,071 new infections were announced by the Department of Health.
In hospitals there are 101 patients with the virus, while there's 20 in ICU according to latest figures.
Mayo University Hospital remains the highest in the country with 15 patients with Covid-19 and one suspected case.
There are seven cases in Sligo University Hospital and four in Galway University Hospital.
