Mayo's busiest tourist town is gearing up to welcome visitors from this afternoon.
Westport hoteliers are looking forward to welcoming back guests, while B&Bs, guesthouses and self-catering accommodation also reopen from today.
Ann and Joe Corcoran, owners of the Castlecourt Hotel, the Westport Plaza and Westport Coast hotels, have used the lockdown since the start of the year to refurbish and improve some of their premises, and have thanked their staff for turning their hand to redecorating, and a variety of other jobs during the past number of months.
New structures are in place for outdoor dining, and the hotels are ready to meet all the guidelines laid down by Failte Ireland.
