A protest in North Mayo later will call for more funding to be provided to fix homes affected by pyrite.
Households will gather for a socially distanced demonstration at various locations in Ballina at 2 o'clock this afternoon.
They say the Defective Concrete Block Scheme is inadequate and has left homeowners facing bills of thousands of euro and years of remedial works.
People attending the event, in compliance with public health guidelines can collect signs on the Sligo road - across from judges roundabout; Killala road- at the Merry Monk; Bonniconlon road - at MK Tyres; Foxford road – at Hollister Wall; and Crossmolina road – at Homeland.
North Mayo Pyrite Group spokesperson Loren Devers says they want 100% of the cost covered under the pyrite scheme, rather than 90% of the cost.
