The Achill Island Coast Guard assisted paramedics responding to a faller in Mulranny, Co. Mayo yesterday.

Achill Island Coast Guard was tasked by the Marine Rescue Coordination Centre shortly before 10:30am on Monday morning.

On arrival at the scene they assessed the situation, before helping paramedic crews to stretcher the casualty to an awaiting ambulance.

An Garda Síochána and the National Ambulance Service all responded to the situation.

Achill Island Coast Guard have wished the casualty a speedy recovery.

They are also reminding the public to dial 112/999 and ask for the Coast Guard if they see anyone in trouble in the sea or on the shoreline.
