The number of Covid-19 patients in public hospitals has dropped by a third in two weeks.

It fell to 122 last night - compared to 151 only 48 hours earlier, and the lowest since October 2nd.

HSE chief executive Paul Reid welcomes the decline, noting how it's fallen from over 2,000 in January.

Dr Martin Daly, a former president of the Irish Medical Organisation, believes it'll drop below 100 shortly.
