An infectious diseases expert says it’s unlikely that Ireland will be able to get covid-19 cases lower than they are now.

429 new cases of Covid-19 were reported yesterday along with one additional death.

Of those cases, 78 per cent are under the age of 45.

Dr Jack Lambert is a Professor of Medicine and Infectious Diseases at UCD.
