Cavan, Mayo, and Monaghan had the highest number of Covid-19 deaths per head of population by mid-February, according to new figures published by the Central Statistics Office (CSO).
The data provides a breakdown by county of the deaths and confirmed cases as of February 19 last.
Cavan has the highest rate of deaths per 100,000 people followed by Mayo.
Since the start of the pandemic, 152 people in Mayo have died from Covid-19, while there were 5,777 cases of the virus.
Galway, Leitrim and Sligo were among the counties with the lowest death rate from Covid.
Up to mid-February, 95 people had died from the disease in Co Galway, 44 in Roscommon, 17 in Sligo and 12 in Leitrim.
